→It is selectively permeable and hence regulates the movement of substances.
→It protects the integrity of interiority of the cell.
→It allows wastes to leave from the cell.
→It anchors the cytoskeleton and hence provide shape to the cell.
→It's infolding are responsible for the intake of material.
So,thats why cells have plasma membrane, who's presence is important for the cell.
