On a circle, this centre doesn't move and so it doesn't need to fight gravity to roll. Another property that allows them to roll is that they have constant width, so the top and bottom will always be the same distance away from each other, which allows thingsto roll around on spheres and circles.

because they have rolling friction but they only roll when a force is provided not always.
