Conflict situations arise because of fear, force, fair or funds. ... Other causes of conflict can be communication gaps; personality differences; substandard performance; disputes over approaches, responsibility and authority; lack of cooperation; or competition for limited resources.

Conflict resolution is a way for two or more parties to find a peaceful solution to a disagreement among them. The disagreement may be personal, financial, political, or emotional. When a dispute arises, often the best course of action is negotiation to resolve the disagreement.

  • Conflicts arise due to a lack of communication. It may be because the concerned parties may not have a clear channel of communication or that there is miscommunication between them.
  • They could arise because of differences of opinion, cultural disconnect, or lack of sympathy too.
  • All conflicts arise because of the central problem of a poor or inadequate way of communication and/or lack of good listening or trying to understand another person's point of view.

  • Conflicts may be resolved by communicating in a smooth and transparent manner.
  • It is also important for all parties involved to put themselves into the shoes of the other person and try to understand their point of view.
  • In some cases, the parties involved just need to be understanding and willing to accept the fact that the world functions on various customs or ways that are beyond their understanding, perhaps. It may also help to read up on such things or talk to an expert in these matters.
