Solution:
A covalent bond is formed by the sharing of electrons between two atoms. The bonds are represented by dashes (-) and are directional in nature. The directional nature of the covalent bonds gives covalent molecules having two or more such bonds, a definite shape. This is also called definite geometry of the covalent molecule.
