why do deep seated blood vessels (arteries) bulg on the side towards the heart?​

THIS HAPPENS BECAUSE OF THE MORE CONCENTRATION OF THE BLOOD WITHIN THOSE VESSELS . Because this causes when there is more consentration of blood vessels
