Ethyne = C₂H₂ => Emperical fromula = CH
Benzene = C₆H₆ => Emperical formula = CH

Ratio of C : H in both ethyne and benzene is 1 : 1
Hence, both have same emperical formula.

We know the in ethyne molecules, there are 2C and 2H atoms. Therefore its empirical formula will be CH (1:1) & 3 ethyne molecules combine in presence of cu tube&heat to form benzenze.
Therefore, in benzene there will be 6C and 6H atoms& so its empirical formula will be, CH (1:1)
That's why they have same empirical formula.
