Orchard Pollination - The Role of Pollen Bees. ... The recent declines in both feral and domestic honeybee colonies due to mites, viruses, and the recent devastating effects of Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), however, have caused a rise in the cost of honey bee rentals for farmers to pollinate their crops.

Bees are important pollinators. In fact, there is something of a crisis in agriculture because bee populations are declining in the face of "colony collapse disorder." Unless a cure is found, many vegetable products may become scarce and expensive.

BTW, "THEIR fruit orchards," the ones over THERE.
