why do fountain pens leak or higher altitude

the pressure at higher altitude is comparatively less so to Equalize pressure difference ink start moving out from the pen

the atmospheric pressure decrease with altitude because gas molecule which makes up the air concentrate near lower altitude in response to earth gravity . Hence air pressure is low at higher altitude ... due to this difference in air pressure ,the air inside the pen force the ink to come out
