Why do frozen watwr pipes burst?

This is due to anamalous expansion of water.This property states that water in range between 0 to 4 degree cel behaves unsually and contracts insted of expanding and vice versa.

Water in pipes frreze due to some conditions.
Untill 4 deg cel it contracts and then it starts expanding.
This expanding causes a lot of pressure on pipes so it burst.
