why do fruits and vegetables get damaged faster than cereals

Because the quantity of water is more in vegetable than cereals

In fruits and vegetables, Microorganisms such as bacteria and molds release their own enzymes as they grow, speeding up the spoiling processes. While, in Cereals they have less water as well they does opposite that of fruits and vegetables. so, fruits & Vegetables gets damaged faster than cereals.
