As gases are highly compressible because they have minimum intermolecular attraction, maximum intermolecular space and maximum kinetic energy.So,they have no definite shape and fixed volume.

A gas is a substance with no definite volume and no definite shape.solids and liquids have volume that do not change easily. a gas on the other hand,has a volume that changes to match the volume on its container.the molecule on a gas are very far apart compared with the molecules in a solid or liquid
