Gases are the fluid form of matter which flow from one place to other very easily and requires a container to store it.

As gases posess more inter MOLECULAR space and less force of attraction they move with high K.E every where.

They have a tendency of filling the entire part of container by taking the shape of container.

Because of all these reason gases don't have a fixed shape and volume.

●Gases do not have a fixed shape because the positions of its particles are not fixed.

●Gases do not have a fixed volume because the spaces between its particles are not fixed.

【Since the particles of a gas are free to move anywhere , it takes the shape and volume of its container.】
