Why do glass bottles with water break when kept in freezer?

Glass bottle with water break or brust when it is kept in a freezer because of anomalous expansion of water. If water is kept in a freezer it exerts large pressure on the bottle causing them to brust.

. Take a small glass bottle with tight lid.

⭐. Fill it with water , without gap and fix the lid tightly.

⭐. Put the bottle into the deep freezer.

⭐. When we take it out from the deep freezer , we can observe some cracks on the glass bottle.

⭐. These cracks on the bottle due to expansion of the substance in the bottle .

⭐. This means water expands on freezing.
