The vocal folds (vocal cords) then vibrate to use airflow from the lungs to create audible pulses that form the laryngeal sound source. The muscles of the larynx adjust the length and tension of the vocal folds to 'fine-tune' pitch and tone.

Hello mate!❤️

Answer:

In human beings, sound is produced by the voice box, which is also called the Larynx. Two cords, called the vocal cords, are stretched across the larynx in such a way that there is a narrow slit between them for the passage of the air. When air is forced through this slit, the vocal cords vibrate and sound is produced.

Hope this helps ❤️
