Answer: Heat transfers by conduction relies on direct contact between atoms and molecules but the particles in liquids are loosely packed, while coming to gases they are freely arranged , due to freely arranged particles the heat can't transfer from one atom to another by conduction but convection can be used in the place of conduction for heating liquids and gases.

Answer:
Heat Transfer by Conduction
Fluids and gases are less conductive than solids (metals are the best conductors) due to the fact that they are less dense, meaning that there is a larger distance between atoms.
