Falling drop of a liquid is always spherical in shape due to surface tension. The inward forces on the surface modules of the liquid droplets tend to cause the surface to volume ratio as small as possible.

Dear Student!!
Liquid drop always assume spherical in shape because drop always tends to acquire minimum surface area due to surface tension, and for a given volume, the surface area of sphere is minimum.
how it would help you.
