Typically, both male and female mosquitoes feed on nectar and plant juices, but in many species the mouthparts of the females are adapted for piercing the skin of animal hosts and sucking their blood as ectoparasites.
Mosquitoes cannot transmit HIV. The virus cannot survive in the mosquito. The female mosquito needs blood for protein to make her eggs. Since male mosquitoes do not make eggs, they need no blood and do not "bite".
Hope it will help u .

Male mosquito also bite but malaria and dengue is spread by female mosquito because it needs nutririon to feed and make eggs, whereas male mozquitoes does not.
