Most multipurpose projects and reservoirs serve multiple purposes. Like flood control, hydropower, irrigation, recreation, and municipal water supply. Since the Last few decades there are many of projects that have been successfully excelled and appreciated over the traditional projects.
Growing scarcity and demand of water resulted in launch of many multipurpose projects. These reserves are most prompt for reallocation and are a convenient measure of operational priorities. Further redistribution and reallocation of water is lowering the aggregated costs of various projects. Hence the Modern multipurpose projects are gradually leading to rise in economic efficiency of the country
