What can I do if I feel like I am hated by my parents?

This is a tough question. Personally I’ve never felt hated by my parents but very strongly disliked yes.

Maybe you can try looking at the good side of things. For example, they put a roof over your head, they are always the ones to bail you out when you get into problems etc.

If they don’t provide those things to you, and they honestly do treat you like they hate you, perhaps it’s not that they hate you but more that they hate themselves. People often treat people with the same respect they have for themselves. Maybe they aren’t happy with their lives, maybe they have unresolved childhood issues that are just eating them up alive , and therefore hate themselves really.

Unfortunately parents , sometimes let out stress and frustrations on loved ones , and that includes the children.

Have you ever tried talking to them about it? Sometimes parents want to establish a good line of communication but don’t know how, maybe you can take the initiative and tell them how you’ve been feeling.

If they aren’t the type to sit down and discuss things with you and they are treating you in a disrespectful way or violating your rights stand your ground on how you want to be treated and maybe talk to someone that can help you if you are being treated in a way that isn’t humane.

Remember that the way people treat you says nothing about you, but everything about them. Make sure to tell yourself that you love and accept yourself daily as well!

There is no way your parents hate you! They could just be upset about something you have done. Parents make a choice to have a kid, if they were just going to hate you they would have not gotten you, but they love you which is why they got you. You will have many of supporters and I am one of them!
