As their atoms are closely bonded and packed together and thus cannot escape or move. They have to be heated so that they can posses fluidity. After heating they should become either gas or liquid so that they can posses fluidity.
P.S. The common misbelief is that only liquids posses fluidity. Which is wrong, as both gases and liquids posses fluidity.
