Why do people oppose dams?

because it cause the loss of house including flora and fauna of nature

it causes poor sediment and excessive sedimentation at the bottom of reservoirs

its causes land and soil degradation

leads to loss of large bio diversities like  forests and plants

it also leads to wash out of many agricultural fields and villages
