Why do people prefer to wear acrylic sweaters that pure wool sweaters ?

As acrylic fabric is less expensive and cheaper (lesser quality) than wool. Wool takes a long time to be ready for market where as acrylic is a synthetic that is easily mass produced. It’s just like the difference between grass fed cattle/sheep getting ready for market and feed lot cattle/sheep that are fed grain and other non grass feed to get them fattened up and at market weight faster.

This is so because acrylic has certain advantages over wool like

~cheaper than wool 

~moth resistent

~more durable

~light in weight

~requires lesscare

~can be washes easily
