people living in low altitude which means almost equal to sea level has smaller lung capacity compared to people who live at higher altitude for a long period of time (this only happens over generation ) because at sea level air is more denser and contain oxygen suitable for average human but as we go higher up the oxygen in air decrease as air becomes less denser due to the concentration of lighter gases like healium , hydrogen etc (oxygen is heaver when compared to them an goes down to lower altitude) so if a groupe lives in sutable hight enough to survive over time after generation there new generations lungs capacity will increase .
