Answers
Explanation:
A co-operative society is a voluntary association of individuals having common needs who join hands for the achievement of common economic interest. Its aim is to serve the interest of the poorer sections of society through the principle of self-help and mutual help.
Answer:
Cooperative society is mainly meant for resource pooling. An individual, if strong enough to get his work done the way he wants, then he may join any organisation. But not all individuals have that power and hence most of them form groups and organisations. Cooperative society is also one such alternative where each member would have to contribute towards the resources be it material or non-material. Individual benefits the cooperative society through his contribution and in return is benefitted by society in form of returns on investment.
Cooperative societies are also formed to raise voice of a group because voice of individual is often neglected or does not reach to the destination. It is at times formed to prevent any sort of injustice or exploitation also. Eg. AMUL was formed for preventing exploitation by traders n middlemen in dairy industry.
