Due to the presence of large water bodies like Arabian Ocean, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal, coastal areas have equable climatic conditions.

All these water bodies border India on all three sides which results in moderate land and sea breezes. But the interior regions experience extreme or continental weather.
