Plains like krishna delta have the dense settlement because:

Krishna delta is situated in the state of Andhra Pradesh and it is formed by the river Krishna and its tributaries. Krishna and its tributaries deposit rich fertile soil in this region, which plays important role in food production in this area.

Cultivation of food crops and selling them to gain profit has become one of the major source of livelihood for people of this region. Due to presence of rich fertile soil suitable for agriculture which results in the easy availability of food products has attracted people to settle in this area. So, this region shows dense settlements.
