Why do plant cells have cell wall and animal cells do not?

because they need protection against the climatic conditions...like heavy rain n wind etc.... cell wall also give shape to the plant cell..they are exposed to these variations because they cannot move

Answer: Because animals can survive in the harsh climatic conditions but plants do not survive. So, plants contain cell wall to protect them against temperature variation, high wind speed, atmospheric moisture,etc.
