Why do plant cells have cell walls but animal cells don't?

All cells have cell membranes, and themembranes are flexible. So animal cells can have various shapes, but plant cells only have the shapes of their cell walls. That's nice for plants, because it gives them the ability to grow up and out, where they can getlots of sunlight for making their food.

all cells have cell membrane (except bacterial cell) but in plant cell cell wall also present .plants has to survive in many extreme situations. Thus this cell wall protect the cell from various enjury and give resist to enter foreign substance but in animals does not require such protection thus animal cell does not have cell wall
