Chlorophyll during photosynthesis absorbs certain wavelengths in absorption spectra, it absorbs red and violet and blue regions of visible light spectrum. Green is not absorbed and thus gets reflected and has approx wavelength 360 to 720 nm. Only 0.02 percent light is used for photosynthesis.
