Plants cells possess large sized vacuole because vacuole have to maintain turgidity of the plant cell hence large vacuole support them to store water. Vacuole also store nutrients required by the cell and the waste materials of the cell whereas in animals there are special organs which maintain different process like excretion, transportation, storage etc. so animal cell doesn't required large vacuole.

Answer:To store water ,wastes and food.
Explanation:
Plant cells are known to have bigger vacuoles than that of animal cells as they need to store food and water. This is because the plant don't possess the ability to move freely like that of animals. Thus, they possess large vacuoles as a reservoir in unfavorable conditions.
