A small part in ecosystems such as temperature grass land, Savannas, etc is called as Prairie. It has very less support for population as it lacks very less vegetation and other basic requirements needed for the survival of species in it.
Explanation:
For species to survive in Prairie, it needs certain unique adaptation which must be undergone by them. Here the availability of water, food, air and shelter is very less and sometime the climate may also be more vulnerable. Due to these reasons prairies have small population.
