Why do room heaters have a silvery reflector?

room heaters have polished reflectors to avoid absorbing heat and to reflect most of heat from its surface...... so that heat can not be absorbed by it and therefore it is made to reflect the heat .... A polished reflector reflects of the heat. Thus it protects the room heater from absorbing excess heat.
