ramps are built on hospital entrances so that people who are disabled and use wheelchair can comfortably get in the hospital. the stairs are usually not comfortable for wheelchair users as other people have to lift the wheelchair in order to get in the hospital.

Schools and hospitals have ramps because -

• There are inclined ramps in the entrances of the schools and hospitals.

• These ramps are for the physically challenged persons who use wheelchair for their regular locomotive works.

• Now,using wheel chairs is not possible on the traditional stairs but the inclined ramps are ideal for upward and downward movements of the wheelchair.

• Now,the chances of presence of such physically challenged persons are higher in the general places like school and hospitals.

• That's why ramps are observed in schools and hospitals.
