Don't try to understand elephant from the perspective of tiger. Sociology is not science if someone try to understand it from natural science perspective. Sociology is a science if someone try to understand it from perspective of social science. Same question which was already answered by my seniors while they did deep discussions about "is management a science or not"? There were many obstacles while my seniors wanted to build a business & management faculty in an institute of technology. They were emerged because the principals tend to understand management from the perspective of natural science and not social science.
