why do settlements change

many settlements around the world have found that their functions have had to change over time. hence one challenge for this city was accommodating the new population (immigrants) and settling them in new areas. Over the decades, the city has attracted people from all parts of India as they migrated in search of livelihood , jobs etc...

Explanation:

one such example is that of small farming villages finding that their residents are moving out to find jobs in the cities. these leaves the village empty, upart from the older population.
