why do snails produce mucus as their waste product?

The mucus which is screted by the body of the snails is snails slime, gastropod mollusks.

The reproductive glands which is gastropod also produces mucus internally from special glands.

External mucus is generally too caused by gastropod, when the snails crowls on the ground.

These are generally secreted from the foot of the snails, which contains protiens.

Snail slime is commonly used in the cosmetics used by the humans.

Most Imporatnt Point is that only the snails which crowl on grounds excretes mucus.
Not living inside rivers, mariens, etc.

they produce mucus for lubricating the surface which help them to move easily without causing any harm to their body
