Social differences are caused by:

There are two factors which cause differences in a society:

•By accident of birth: We do not chooseto be born into a particular community.People around us are tall or short, and have many abilites and disabilities.

•By our choices: Some people do not believe in any religion such people are called atheists. Some people choose tofollow a religion other than the one in which they were born into.People around us have different occupations and so on.

However every social difference does not lead to a social division .Poeple belonging to different social groups share similarities and differences cutting across the boundaries of their groups.

Eg:Some people of the same religion may not fell that they belong to the same community because their caste is very different. Some people of difffernt religions may feel close to each other because their caste is the same.
