At a certain point, the bridge wouldstart oscillating to the same rhythm as that of the marching steps. This oscillation would reach a maximum peak when the bridge can no longer sustain its own strength and hence collapses. Therefore, soldiers are ordered to break their steps while crossing a bridge.

Answer:
Reasons for which soldiers are advised to go out of steps while marching all suspended Bridge:-)
lt is because of the fact that the frequency of the marching steps of soldiers on a suspended Bridge May match with the natural frequency of oscillations of the suspended Bridge. Such a matching of frequencies results into resonance, which in turn increases the amplitude of oscillation very sharp. As a result, the bridge may collapse. That is why soldiers are advised to go out of step while marching on a suspended Bridge.
