Why do solids, liquids, and gases have different properties?

The atoms and molecules in gases aremuch more spread out than in solidsorliquids. They vibrate and move freely at high speeds. A gas will fill any container, but if the container is not sealed, the gas will escape. Gas can be compressed much more easily than aliquid or solid.

because solid have fixed shape and volume, liquid have fixed volume but not fixed shape and gas not a fixed volume not fixed shape
