why do some animals have long and huge ears while some have thick furs on their body

as a part of their adaptation ... look people living in the cold region required thick fur on body for warm atmosphere and people living in the warm and humid atmosphere don't have thick fur so this all long and huge ears and thick fur on the body as a part of adaptation
