Answer:

We often see in our day to day life that some cooking vessels have copper bases as well as plastic handles.Copper bases are provided because it is the property of copper to get up heated quickly and hence it absorbs the heat quickly and helps the item to be cooked fast. They have plastic handle because plastic is a good insulator of heat.It does not allows the heat to pass through it and help the handle to not get heated up and make us comfortable to use.If plastic handle would not be there then heat will easily transfer and the handle will become hot and while handling it we can get severe burn in our hand.
