we see twinkling of stars because of atmospheric refraction when the light coming from Star enters the earth's atmosphere it gets deviated from it straight line path because of its higher density but sometimes the atmosphere become rare due to which it bends away from the normal due to this bending of light in both the cases VC star appearing to be Twinkle
