why do stars seem to be twinkling
in the night sky ??

When the light emitted by stars enters the atmosphere of Eath, it undergoes atmospheric refraction. Due to this the amount of light entering into our eyes keeps on flickering. So stars appear to be twinkling

As stars have their own light, but on day time the sun's light is more brighter than those and on dark time sun is on the other side of earth , so they seems to twinkling .

actually they are not twinkling up in space but , because of earth's atmosphere , the refractive index of star gets changed and we see they as twinkling stars
