Why do testies located outside abdominal cavity in scrotum ?

for spermatogenesis it is required to have less temperature for sertoli cells in the testis in human beings when compared to rest body temperature...... so to keep it cool that is 2°C less than rest of the body temperature...... it is located outside the body....

testis are located outside the body because for synthesis of sperms it needs lower temperature. so they are located outside body to lower the temperature by 3-4 degree celsius. If they would have been located inside the body temperature would kill many motile sperms!! HOPE IT HELPS!!
