why do the blue whales come out of water and sprinkle water??

blue whale breathe the atmospheric oxygen
and it takes in oxygen and sprinkles the water out of the blew hole

whales and dolphins are not fish,They are mammals 
Mammals are the group of animals that breath air using lungs.
They dont have gills to take up oxygen from water.
Hence they come out to surface to breath.
Sometimes when a whale breathes air out of its blow hole,water is sprinkled out,it shows up as a spray or mist.
