THE JORDANS TOOK A LONG TIME TO GET TO THE HOUSE OF SLATERS BCOZ THEY HAD TO PREPARE NEW MOURNING DRESSES FOR THEIR GRANDFATHER'S FUNERAL.IT SHOWS THAT BOTH THE SISTERS WANTED TO OUTSHINE EACH OTHER AND FEEL PRIOR.IT ALSO SHOWS THAT TO BOTH SISTERS' THEIR APPEARANCES WERE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE EMOTIONS.
