Sons of a hemophillic father never suffer from this trait because XY chromosomes makes sons and Y chromosome is given by father this chromosome doesn't contain any alleles and thus the trait will not be transferred to sons. But daughters will get this trait since they receive their father's X chromosome with carry alleles. If mother is hemophillic then sons will be hemophillic because sons have mother's X chromosome. Remember that only X chromosome bears any type of alleles.
