They have compared the city buildings to that of human body because of the following reasons -
1. The cardiovascular system of our body is like the vehicles and the roods that transport people and goods in the city. Heart and blood vesssels of our cardiovascular system transports nutrients and gases to our body parts like the vehicles and roads that transports goods in the city.
2. The sickness that human body faces illustrates the dysfunction of urban areas of the city.
3. Respiratory system of humans is similar to the air systems of buildings as exchange of gases is necessary to keep the buildings ventilated and human body circulated.
