why do things stick to wet surfaces?​

When the surface is wet,things stick to wet surfaces because of water molecules(H2O) present under the object forming a sticky layer.It makes the object sticks to the surface.

Reason:Water is polar solvaent .Because of that there is uneven distribution of charge of ions.because of that a sticky layer is formed between the object and the wet surface........
