Why do think some people worship cobra even though they are posinous and harmful

Cobras Are Considered To Be Really close to Lord Shiva. They Believe that cobra resist the flow of poison drank by Lord Shiva From spreading to the whole body. Hence, Cobra are considered to be holy and are being worshipped !
